Love The Little Things #13: Sunshine In a Bottle

Sunshine in a bottle

I’m delighted to report, that as I sit here & compile my weekly ‘little loves’ round up, I’m doing so from the comfort of my al fresco office, basking in some highly anticipated British sunshine (can I get a Whoop whoop?)

This week has been a scorcher, by UK standards anyway (it’d take Saharan type temperatures to warm my cockles!) But we’ve had a reasonable amount of sunshine & warmth this week, so suddenly the world seems just that little bit, well brighter? The everyday, mundane activities appear more attractive with a little sunlight beaming down, don’t they? Even though this means I’m in a constant battle with my arch nemesis: pollen, squinting through swollen, itchy eyes- ‘tis a sacrifice I’ll make for Le grand Soleil!

Another week has flown by & it’s time for a brew, biscuit & catch up on life, joining forces with my great blogging crew: Morgana at But why mummy why taking the helm. Lets set sail!

  • Watched

I proclaimed last week that little lord snotface now enjoys sitting still for more then 30 seconds, & has been watching Disney films. This weeks choice has been Pixars’ ‘UP’.

Boy, I loved this film when it was released all those years ago. & Even back then, I cried my eyes out: this week has been no exception & I’ve been an emotional wreck. (I have no idea why, so I’m blaming the film!)

I also had a right good swoon over Davy B. Errrbody loves a bit of Beckeham, right?

  • Read

In the last few weeks, I’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of talented writers who I have stumbled across, or avidly follow, in blog-land (*whispers* I find myself kinda intimidated sometimes, by the quality & class of writer-bloggers out there) . Honestly, this week I couldn’t narrow down a list shorter than 5 articles that blew my mind. I’ve also got my standard issue of Womans Health at the ready.

  • Heard

Right, I’m going with honesty is the best policy (& all that jazz). Watching the BGT finals & seeing diversity (oh, hello Ashely Banjo!) & little mix perform was AWESOME. So darn cheesy, but I don’t cuuure-go ahead & judge away! *Holds hands up* I confess: Little Mix are my guilty pleasure, & this song rocks.

I’m also completely in luurve with the new JT tune.

  • Made

I’m useless at keeping secrets, so I’ll try to not give the game away entirely here (just yet). I made a start on some cheeky little gifts for a few special gals

We’ve also made some exciting plans for a short trip over to Jersey next month. It’ll be Mr banana pants umpteenth visit there, but my first. We’re staying with family & a 30th birthday celebration is on the cards (it could get messy!)

  • Wore:

Well frankly, this week has been more about the lack of clothing being worn (did I mention already, its been sunny?). We’ve participated in an awful lot of garden play & had many lazy days, so I’ve been donning my 21st century ‘house coat’

& Not forgetting the SPF: Currently in love with this nivea protection.

  • …..& in other news:

Some very exciting projects have been discussed this week & are in the pipeline *does a silly-happy dance* (more news will follow shortly!). I spent one evening this week in the wonderful company of some mighty fine bloggers *again, does a silly-happy dance*

We’re all set for a ‘family fun day’ at Bears nursery tomorrow, & a day dedicated to daddy on Sunday (I slightly begrudge these ‘hallmark holidays’ ) with the obligatory home made card & presents.

& Finally, Then there is just the small bloody huge matter of a blogging conference next week: for which we will be welcoming a very special house guest….all the way from picturesque Ireland! I.cannot.wait!

Ashley Banjo & Diversity filmed their Big Town Dance in our town last year. Unfortunately, I didn’t know anything about it until it had been filmed so didn’t meet them or anything but I did enjoy watching it each week!

This Little Mix song sounds quite Beyonce-ish, totally different from the other songs of theirs I’ve heard before x
