A fresh Start // I’ve been away for a while now ……

cool bananas, cool bananas blog, dream big, stationary, flatlay

7 Months. That’s how long it’s been since I’ve graced these pages, waxing lyrical about life & everything in-between. In fairness, even before I dropped off the blogging radar, my attention to this space dwindled significantly towards the end of last year because as a family, we were gearing up towards our impending move to Australia, whilst also struggling privately with infertility; learning how to cope with the treatments that came with this (which was in fact a challenge we’d been dealing with for a good 2 years). WHAT I’VE LEARNED IN 31 years…..

cool bananas, cool bananas blog, things I've learned This little post has been sitting in my ‘drafts’ for quite some time,….clearly I’m still in denial about turning another year older……

So, yup, you can guess from the title, I recently celebrated a birthday. But truth be told, I still don’t feel much like an adult. WHAT is one of those, anyway? Adult? Who let me adult? I like to think of myself simply as a slightly wiser (more natural, than platinum blonde) version of myself (so, basically, I’m still the headstrong, stubborn mare, I’ve always been?). View Post

Beyond the nappy changing bag with PacaPod // A Bag for life….

pacapod, pacapod changing bag, nappy bag, cool bananas, cool bananas blog, Bags & shoes, they’re my thing. My approach towards purchasing & owning them however, are pretty different: When it comes to footwear, in my humble shoe-lovin’ opinion, one can never own enough pairs (my vice is flats, specifically, trainers). They have an ability to transform any outfit, instantly. I wouldn’t say that I’m a shoe snob as such, but I do believe in quality, & try to buy them for longevity, besides everything else they have to be well made. Building up a shoe collection that even Jimmy would envy, doesn’t have to cost you a fortune either it’s pretty accessible. View Post

How many weeks until Australia?

cool bananas, cool bananas blog, moving, Australia, migration, migrate “How many weeks until Australia now, mummy?’ – This is the question I’m dealing with on a daily basis, from the 4 year old. It’s quite handy really, having a per diem reminder, my personal countdown calendar. It’s also very cute, how excited he is about the impending move. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’m hyped about it all too. BUT, 4 WEEKS!! View Post
