With the weekend fast approaching, I’m sure like me, y’all probably search high & low: on the internet, social networks & ear-bash anyone who will listen friends to find new & exciting activities, that’ll entertain the whole family? Discovering something that is well suited to a ‘babe in arms’ all the way up to ‘Great Granny’ is by far, no mean feat.

Then of course, add into the mix our British summer: which at the best of times can be accurately described as unpredictable. Once decided upon your plans, doubt quickly then enters your mind ‘Will it be too hot/ cold/ wet: to be in the great outdoors?’

Well, that’s where The Pet Show swoops in & ticks all the boxes.

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, over an action-packed weekend, The Pet Show provides a fantastic animal-filled day out for all the family. With activities to enjoy ranging from ferret racing to micro pig agility, children and adults alike can get up close and personal with parrots, snakes, day-old chicks, rabbits, miniature ponies and over 150 other animals.

Meanwhile in the arenas (see even if it rains, there is a safe place!) you can marvel at the amazing Paws for Thought Canine Display Team, witness the stunning World of Wings flying display or cheer on your favourite sheep in the Lamb National!

Discover and explore eight exciting zones, including the Animal Discovery zone which boasts amazing interactive features, including a working beehive and the chance to build a hedgehog friendly garden.

Industry experts from the pet world will also be on hand offering hints and tips, and plenty of pet care techniques. Plus, there are plenty of activities to try, including treat making, photo shoots and animal handling. There’s also the Dog Breed Village with over 30 gorgeous breeds of dog for you to meet and greet.

Like a spot of shopping? Well, whaddya  know, they’ve got that too! Shop ’till you drop with over 150 trade stands showcasing the very latest pet products and supplies. Pick up a bargain with lots of exclusive show offers and incentives.

Now I know, you’re sat there thinking ‘Whoa! That’s a looong way to travel, for the London based Banana-rama family’ & yes, admittedly it is a bit of a trek. Originally, we had planned to extend this day trip into a weekend & experience the Glamping world: alas, despite my best research efforts, all these options seem fully booked.

There is something else about this weekend though, that will make the pilgrimage even more worthwhile…. the chance to meet up with some wonderful chums! I’m so happy to be catching up with the always cheery (& slightly daft as a brush) Emma, the nautical loving Sian (Ahoy!) & the ever so elegant Alison. I’ve had to pleasure of their company before, but this time it’ll be a family affair & it’s going to be so fun utter chaos  getting together with the children in tow. The cherry on top, is that I get to meet in the flesh the lovely Chantelle, our tropical island gal, who is here visiting from the Seychelles (Mrs Tropicalle!).
